Making music in my home
Sometimes it's inspiration. Sometimes it's pure, hard work, or plugging away at my keyboard and computer because I have set a goal.
When I was a music professor at Greenville College, now Greenville University, I seldom had time just to sit down and create music of my own. Now it seems like I have all the time in the world, but at the same time not enough time! I hope you enjoy the music!
If you have any questions about how I create my music, or the equipment I use, or how I get my inspiration, please feel free to contact me. And, I hope that you also take the time to make some music, write a story, or bless the world however you can!
June, 2024 - Greenville, IL
Conducting the Greenville Muny bank as a guest conductor for one of our many concerts this summer. For many years I was the band director for Greenville University. Now I just play my clarinet in the Muny band for as long as they'll have me!
Music around the world
In May of 2017, our family took a trip to England to visit our places of family ancestry, and to pick up our grandson Dellon who was finishing a semester at Oxford University.
As part of that trip, I got to play a number of different instruments, including this old upright piano at a church potluck dinner. Here are some of the places we visited and the instruments I was able to play. Sometimes my son Greg and grandson Dellon got in the action and played as well.
Stourhouse - grand piano
Place #2 - Greg played the church organ just for fun
Place #3 - I played a late 1700's grand piano
What some people say
"Ever since I had him as a professor at Greenville College, I have always enjoyed the music of Dr. Everett Sanders! He was one of my favorite professors, and I learned from his breadth of understanding about music history."

Meet some of my family.
In case you want to keep up with myself and my wife Jane, or my son Greg and his family, or my brother Norman and others ...
Just after he finished playing the beautiful Steinway grand piano in the main ballroom of the mansion. He was pleased with himself for performing a piece by Beethoven from memory, or perhaps amused at the fact that we caught the moment on camera.
Dellon passed away in 2018 just one year and a few months after this photo was taken. He is greatly missed, along with his sister Loralyn (d. 2018) and brother, Darren (d. 1991)
After a Muny Band concert in 2024 in Greenville, IL. Pictured from left to right, Aurora (great granddaughter), myself, my wife Jane, son Greg and his wife Karen, on the back row, Ashley (Dwight's wife), then Rafa (being held), then Dwight (grandson), this his two boys on the front row - Davi (left) and Levi (right). There's nothing like family to keep a person young and entertained! My son Greg and I both continue to play in the local Muny Band each summer.
